Cookie policy

This page explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on the Proper Place webshop, in line with Dutch / EU ePrivacy practice.

1. Essential storage (always on)

Cart: localStorage key meridian-cart so your basket survives a refresh. Strictly necessary for the shop to work.
Consent choice: localStorage key meridian-consent so we remember Accept / Reject.
Customer login session: HTTP-only cookie when you sign in via the email link from /login.
Admin session: an HTTP-only cookie when a staff member logs into /admin (not used for storefront visitors).

These do not require prior consent.

2. Optional trackers

Analytics or marketing tools (for example Google Analytics, Meta Pixel) are optional. We only load them after you choose Accept on the cookie banner. If you choose Reject, they stay off.

Right now the shop is prepared for trackers but may not load any until we connect them. Your choice is still stored so we respect it when they are added.
